2026/2027 OPHS PFA College Prep Programs
OPHS PFA partners with Tried and True Tutoring to host proctored practice SAT and ACT exams as well as two-day, high-energy SAT boot camps for OPHS students in the Fall of 2026 and Spring of 2027. Most high school students take the mock SAT and ACT exams in their 10th or 11th grade year, depending on their math placement. These mock or practice exams will give your student a chance to see which test is right for them. It also gives them a base score before they begin any test prep.
Tried and True's experienced instructors will present a "Results Webinar" during both semesters, and we strongly encourage parents to attend with their students. Your student will have received their test scores prior to the meet so you will be able to compare scores and use the test as a reference during the presentation. You'll receive insight into common test-taking mistakes and be given strategies to boost your student's score. Tried and True's anecdotal webinar is one of the most useful webinars we've seen in college prep.
The two-day Fall SAT/PSAT boot camp is is 8 hours of instruction over the course of the two-day workshop. It's a great crash course for students committed to boosting their scores.
While California public universities are test blind, the OPHS College & Career Center highly encourages all college-bound students at Oak Park High School to take an official SAT/ACT exam. Many colleges in different regions of the country require test scores for admissions or to qualify for merit aid. These mock exams and boot camps are a helpful tool for students as they prepare for the official exams.
